Position Summary
The Vice President of Supply Chain is accountable for the comprehensive strategic oversight, daily management, and ongoing enhancement of the company's supply chain infrastructure. This executive role involves crafting supply chain strategies, overseeing procurement and supplier partnerships, coordinating production activities, managing inventory, optimizing logistics, and structuring a global supply chain that supports the company's persistent growth in the international jewelry market.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop mid- to long-term strategies for supply chain evolution.
- Refine the global supply chain footprint and operational frameworks.
- Create a resilient, adaptable, and sustainable supply chain system.
- Lead digital transformation initiatives within the supply chain for improved management capabilities.
- Design and implement global procurement strategies and supplier management protocols.
- Build and sustain relationships with critical suppliers and strategic partners.
- Streamline procurement processes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
- Secure continual supply of materials such as jewelry raw materials, precious metals, and gemstones.
- Coordinate with departments including design, procurement, production, quality, and logistics for streamlined operations.
- Enhance production planning and execution of supply chain activities to improve order fulfillment and responsiveness.
- Standardize supply chain processes to boost overall operational performance.
- Implement data-focused inventory management approaches to optimize inventory and increase turnover.
- Oversee global logistics and distribution networks to ensure timely and safe delivery of products worldwide.
- Analyze supply chain data and market trends to develop cost control and efficiency improvement strategies.
- Establish risk monitoring, emergency responses, and compliance frameworks to secure supply chain integrity.
Qualifications
- 20 to 25 years of relevant experience in supply chain or procurement management.
- At least 8 years in senior leadership roles such as Director or higher.
- Preferably experienced with supply chain models in jewelry, luxury goods, retail, or sophisticated manufacturing sectors.
- Experience in handling global supply chains, international procurement, or cross-border operations is an advantage.
- Strong expertise in strategic planning, negotiation, supply chain operations, and leadership execution.
