Opportunity Overview
Lincoln Group is working with a major aerospace and defense manufacturing company to hire a Vice President of Supply Chain. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, this executive will own enterprise-wide supply chain direction for a complex manufacturing business operating across multiple sites.
The position suits a strategic leader who can pair executive thinking with practical execution, creating measurable improvements in procurement, logistics, supplier performance, and overall supply chain effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the full supply chain strategy across procurement, materials management, and logistics.
- Lead efficiency and cost-saving programs designed to deliver year-over-year reductions.
- Apply strong practices in SIOP, inventory control, sourcing, and production planning.
- Direct supplier negotiations and strategic sourcing efforts to improve value and performance.
- Create and roll out standardized SOPs across business units to drive consistency and better execution.
- Define KPIs and build performance dashboards that support accountability and data-led decisions.
- Develop and maintain high-value supplier partnerships, including vendor consolidation initiatives.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to align supply chain priorities with growth plans.
- Act as a change leader in a matrixed organization and influence stakeholders at different levels.
- Track market and industry developments that may affect supply chain operations.
Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field is required; an MBA is preferred.
- At least 10 years of leadership experience in global supply chain operations.
- Background in aerospace, defense, or other complex manufacturing environments is strongly preferred, especially OEM and MRO settings.
- Deep experience in strategic sourcing, supplier negotiation, and cost optimization.
- Hands-on experience with ERP platforms, with Oracle preferred.
- APICS or a comparable certification would be an advantage.
- Success leading teams in fast-moving, matrixed organizations.
- Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making abilities.
Additional Requirements
- Must be willing to travel domestically, with only limited international travel.
- Candidates must satisfy U.S. Person requirements for access to export-controlled data under ITAR/EAR compliance.
- Work locations may include the Greater Chicago Metro Area, Greater New York City Metro Area, Greater Cincinnati, or Greater Columbus.
Compensation and Benefits
The role offers highly competitive executive compensation, including a $250K base salary plus a 25% bonus opportunity.
