Role overview
The Vice President of Procurement is a senior, full-time remote position focused on shaping and running procurement strategy for CONSTRUCCIONES DECAST XXI SL. The role is responsible for directing sourcing activity, handling important supplier and vendor negotiations, and strengthening relationships to secure high-quality materials and services at the right cost and within delivery timelines.
What you will do
In this role, you will build procurement policies, oversee contract processes, and work closely with project and finance teams to keep purchasing aligned with business needs. You will also track supplier and supply chain performance, identify and grow strategic supplier partnerships, manage procurement risk, and improve inventory planning using data and performance insights.
Qualifications
- Deep knowledge of procurement and supply chain operations, including strategic sourcing and logistics coordination.
- Strong capability in negotiating and managing contracts while maintaining compliance and commercial value.
- Hands-on experience developing suppliers through performance reviews, relationship management, and improvement plans.
- Prior exposure to construction or engineering environments, with familiarity in materials, subcontracting, and regulatory expectations.
- Proven leadership background with experience guiding cross-functional or multidisciplinary teams and influencing senior stakeholders.
- Advanced analytical and financial ability, including budgeting, cost evaluation, and reporting.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong English fluency; Spanish is an added advantage.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a closely related field, or equivalent practical experience.
