Role Overview
Mashreq is inviting applications from qualified UAE Nationals for the position of Vice President specializing in Compensation and Benefits within the People & Intellectual Capital Group. This key leadership role involves shaping and executing comprehensive compensation and benefits strategies across multiple regions, aiming to keep the bank's offerings attractive and competitive internationally. The role also focuses on digitizing rewards operations, elevating user interaction, and ensuring statutory and compliance standards are met in all assigned countries.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary expert on all compensation and benefits matters within the designated scope.
- Manage pay review cycles and bonus distributions in specified locations.
- Drive the bank’s initiative to digitize rewards processes, enhancing efficiency and user experience.
- Collaborate with external vendors to develop innovative solutions that improve user engagement and process scalability.
- Analyze compensation survey data and partner with the Head of Rewards to recommend and apply adjustments aligning with the bank's compensation philosophy.
- Annually review pay bands for each country, providing managers with detailed financial impact assessments of proposed changes.
- Conduct or participate in dipstick surveys within banks to benchmark compensation and benefits, enabling timely modifications to support talent attraction and retention.
- Advise business partners and leadership on policy interpretation and clarification.
- Maintain consistent compensation and benefits policies across all Mashreq locations under responsibility.
- Ensure compliance with labor laws and statutory requirements related to compensation and benefits in respective regions.
- Develop, update, and communicate reward policies and benefits frameworks effectively within the organization.
- Communicate changes in policies and maintain current comparative analyses regularly.
- Create and uphold Standard Operating Procedures for both existing and new processes to ensure uniform understanding and execution.
