Role Overview
The Vice President of Commercial Operations will be responsible for building, scaling, and refining the comprehensive operating system that drives Omada's B2B2C commercial strategy. This role requires a seasoned executive with proven expertise in directing multifaceted commercial operations within high-growth companies. Key areas of oversight include Revenue Operations, Commercial Business Systems, Commercial Effectiveness, and Commercial Planning. The executive will ensure a consistent, efficient, and scalable commercial organization that aligns with the dynamics of a public and rapidly growing enterprise.
Primary Responsibilities
- Lead and own all facets of the commercial operating system including planning, pipeline management, forecasting, compensation, tooling, and governance to support scalable growth across B2B and B2B2C channels.
- Inspire and manage a high-performing Commercial Operations team with clear objectives, success measures, and operational rhythms that boost commercial team engagement and results.
- Provide leadership and accountability for Commercial Enablement and Effectiveness by partnering closely with senior directors to set vision, priorities, and performance benchmarks.
- Integrate Revenue Operations, Commercial Effectiveness, and Enrollment Forecasting into a unified, high-output division with clear charters and goals.
- Ensure accurate, reliable sales and enrollment forecasts that support financial planning and operational teams.
- Develop and execute a strategic plan to incorporate AI into Commercial Operations to enhance pipeline insights, sales rep performance, and go-to-market decision making with strong governance on data and change management.
- Represent Commercial Operations on the Cross-functional Commercial Leadership Team, translating company strategy into actionable commercial plans and KPIs; proactively identify risks and growth opportunities.
- Oversee governance processes including quarterly business reviews, pipeline assessments, and initiative evaluations to ensure effective decision-making and accountability.
- Collaborate with Finance and Commercial leaders on long-term planning including quotas, territories, headcount, and investment strategies.
- Manage the design, implementation, and governance of sales compensation programs in conjunction with People and Finance teams.
- Continuously improve the commercial technology stack, evaluating and deploying tools that enhance data quality, insights, and operational efficiency.
- Promote a culture focused on experimentation, data-driven learning, and iterative refinement of processes, playbooks, and training.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related discipline is required; an MBA or equivalent advanced degree is preferred.
- Minimum of 15 years progressive experience in commercial, revenue, or sales operations, with at least 5 to 7 years managing multi-disciplinary commercial operations teams in fast-growth B2B or B2B2C settings.
- Proven success working in scaled public companies and dynamic growth environments, preferably within healthcare, digital health, or regulated industries.
- Expertise in sales forecasting, pipeline analytics, and overall commercial performance management, including trusted reporting frameworks for executive and board levels.
- Strong background leading Revenue Operations and Commercial Effectiveness, covering sales compensation, methodologies, enablement, and technology tools.
- Deep knowledge of interdepartmental relationships among Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, Product, Finance, and Operations to ensure integrated commercial forecasting and execution.
- Advanced proficiency with Salesforce and sales productivity tools, experienced in integrating multiple data platforms to inform strategic decisions.
- Innovative use of AI and data technologies to optimize forecasting, enablement, and sales productivity, with a thoughtful approach to technological change management.
- A strategic, enterprise-focused leader adept at aligning long-term vision with operational execution and navigating complexity and evolving market conditions.
