Role Overview

This position is responsible for overseeing Operations & Maintenance (O&M) outsource partners and third-party vendors to meet company goals related to cost reduction and quality enhancements, while ensuring compliance with defined governance protocols. The role includes managing SLAs and outsourced contracts for the Service Assurance department, supporting vendor contract negotiations with data and planning input, and implementing service delivery modifications based on operational needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage efficient execution and timely completion of O&M activities.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and new vendors within the O&M sector, clarifying expectations and obligations.
  • Communicate with vendors, conduct quality assessments, negotiate pricing, and implement improvements.
  • Handle documentation of work orders and maintain completed work records for auditing purposes.
  • Keep accurate records of all orders and their scheduled delivery dates.
  • Coordinate safety requirements with subcontractors, engineering, and operations personnel.
  • Perform safety inspections and assessments to ensure adherence to health and safety regulations.
  • Validate vendor invoices and obtain necessary Purchase Order approvals.
  • Maintain organized accounting records suitable for auditing.
  • Collaborate with Regional Managers for scheduling planned work and emergency repairs.
  • Oversee and control the Operation and Maintenance budget according to operational demands.
  • Establish and maintain effective systems for processing and monitoring work orders for O&M and Network departments.
  • Work closely with technicians, operations teams, and management to ensure satisfaction with maintenance planning.
  • Analyze operational data to identify key issues, patterns, and trends.
  • Examine site fuel data and report anomalies to the Line Manager.
  • Evaluate vendor compliance percentages based on Preventive Maintenance analysis to improve power availability.
  • Manage internal operations of 21 RDU and fibre POP sites collaboratively with RTMs and FEs as part of an OPEX reduction initiative.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Proven analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with strong stakeholder management capabilities.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of telecommunication services, operational KPIs, processes, and how they affect customer experience.
  • Ability to communicate effectively across various organizational levels.
  • Understanding of engineering roles and workflows.
  • Familiarity with accounting procedures.
  • Strong skills in data analysis.
  • Basic proficiency with Power BI.
  • Advanced competence with Microsoft Excel.
