Transportation Specialist - Amazon Freight

Role Overview

Amazon operates one of India's most extensive and reliable transportation networks, Amazon Transportation Services (ATS). The objective of this position is to leverage this network's capabilities to benefit small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs), enabling them to enhance their shipping operations, serve customers more effectively, and expand their enterprises. The Transportation Specialist will manage and foster relationships with key shipper accounts, focusing on growth and retention.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure a positive experience for assigned shipper accounts by driving shipment volumes and revenues while maintaining essential operational standards.
• Develop strategic account management plans tailored to individual shippers.
• Articulate and reinforce the logistics value proposition, collaborating with shippers to establish joint business plans.
• Proactively and reactively address critical business parameters such as operations, claims resolution, and payment receivables.
• Adhere to established operating procedures to effectively scale functional activities.
• Utilize local insights, secondary research, and historical data to continuously refine the business value proposition.

Candidate Profile

We seek a dynamic, results-driven individual experienced in B2B or SME sales and business development, ideally with a background in shipping and logistics. The ideal candidate thrives in entrepreneurial settings, embraces ambiguity, and adapts to changing priorities and market landscapes. A collaborative attitude combined with analytical and data-centric skills is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree is required.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills capable of engaging stakeholders at all organizational levels including technical, business, and executive audiences.
• Preferred: Demonstrated experience communicating complex concepts clearly and concisely to diverse internal and external parties.
