Role Overview
This confidential search is for a Training Manager to support a leading luxury hospitality organization in Southern California. The role focuses on building employee capability, improving service delivery, and helping create an exceptional guest experience across a resort-style operation.
The position is well suited to a hospitality professional who enjoys developing people, strengthening service standards, and driving a Forbes-caliber service culture across multiple guest-facing departments.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee learning and development initiatives for hotel, spa, food and beverage, and other guest-facing teams.
- Create and run training sessions that support high-end service expectations and luxury brand standards.
- Work with operations leaders to improve consistency in service, guest satisfaction, and team effectiveness.
- Carry out service walk-throughs, quality reviews, and coaching discussions with staff.
- Review guest feedback and mystery shop findings to spot service gaps and improvement opportunities.
- Promote a service-first culture while helping the property meet Forbes and AAA benchmarks.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate brings at least 3 years of experience in hospitality training and development, along with 3 years of leadership experience. A background in luxury hotels, resorts, spas, or other upscale hospitality settings is preferred. Strong presentation skills, coaching ability, and clear communication are essential. Experience with Forbes Travel Guide, AAA, or Michelin service standards is considered an advantage.
