Position Overview
This role is for an experienced Trade Lane Manager for Asia, based in Germany, within the international logistics and freight forwarding sector. The position focuses on advancing and improving Asia-related transport flows and on shaping the Asia-Europe trade lane as a core business route.
You will act as a key connector between sales, product management, operations, and international partners. The main objective is to drive sustainable growth, uncover market opportunities, and continuously strengthen the competitiveness of Asia traffic.
Key Responsibilities
- Steer the strategic development and ongoing management of the Asia trade lane.
- Monitor market trends, pricing movements, and competitive activity.
- Support the sales team with customer visits, tender participation, and quote calculations.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with international partners, agents, and carriers.
- Create growth plans aimed at increasing volume and profitability.
- Work closely with colleagues in sales, product management, and operations.
- Spot new business opportunities and identify potential for market expansion.
- Carry out regular performance reviews and turn findings into actionable recommendations.
Candidate Profile
- Several years of experience in international freight forwarding or logistics.
- Solid knowledge of sea freight and/or air freight, with a strong focus on Asia-related movements.
- Background in trade lane management, product management, or international business development.
- Strong commercial mindset with excellent numerical and analytical ability.
- Proven ability to coordinate and influence international stakeholders effectively.
- Business-fluent German and English skills.
- Willingness to travel for customer and partner meetings within Germany and abroad.
