Role Overview
We seek a Tendering Specialist to contribute to the advancement of Fortender, a cutting-edge AI-enhanced tender management system. Unlike traditional tender submission roles, this position collaborates closely with product and development teams to refine the platform's tendering capabilities, validate AI-produced outputs, and ensure alignment with established construction and procurement standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Work alongside software developers and product managers to upgrade tendering functionalities within the Fortender platform.
- Assess and confirm accuracy of AI-generated Bills of Quantities (BOQs) by comparing them against project plans and technical specifications.
- Detect inconsistencies and offer constructive feedback aimed at enhancing AI precision.
- Participate in testing new platform features, documenting issues and suggesting potential improvements.
- Leverage industry knowledge to optimize operational workflows and enhance overall user experience.
- Assist in product evaluation by utilizing authentic tender documentation and construction-related datasets.
Candidate Requirements
- Possess a degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or an allied discipline.
- Demonstrate prior experience in areas such as tendering, estimation, quantity surveying, or construction procurement processes.
- Have a comprehensive understanding of Bills of Quantities, comprehensive quantity takeoffs, and the interpretation of construction drawings.
- Exhibit strong analytical capabilities, effective communication skills, and adept problem-solving aptitude.
- Familiarity with digital tendering systems, Building Information Modeling (BIM), Autodesk Construction Cloud, or AI-integrated construction software is considered an asset.
