Technician - Starch Manufacturing

About the Role

BG Global is seeking skilled Technicians specialized in Instrumentation, Automation, Electrical, and Mechanical fields to join the starch manufacturing sector in the UAE. This role involves maintaining and servicing plant machinery to ensure smooth production processes.

Key Duties

• Conduct preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance on plant machinery and systems.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and automation faults to reduce downtime.
• Carry out inspections, repairs, calibrations, and upkeep of equipment to promote safe and effective operations.
• Read and understand technical schematics including P&IDs, electrical drawings, and maintenance manuals.
• Collaborate with production teams to maintain continuous plant functionality.
• Adhere to health, safety, environment (HSE) standards, food safety protocols, and maintenance guidelines.
• Keep detailed maintenance records and contribute to ongoing improvement initiatives.

Qualifications and Experience

• Possess ITI, Diploma, or Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
• Have 3 to 5 years of practical experience within the starch manufacturing industry.
• Demonstrated proficiency in maintenance and troubleshooting of industrial plant equipment.
• Comprehensive knowledge of preventive maintenance strategies, safety norms, and industrial processes.
• Strong analytical and communication abilities.
• Ready to work in rotating shift patterns.
