About the Role
WSA, a leading provider in the hearing aid industry, is dedicated to improving the quality of life globally through innovative hearing solutions. To support growth and extend service reach in an underserved market, WSA is advancing its business transformation and seeking a skilled Technician to join their production team in Singapore.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct production buyoff processes and support shop floor operations.
- Investigate quality issues in products, collaborating with engineers to implement corrective and preventive measures.
- Generate daily reports on assigned tasks.
- Contribute to continuous improvement projects including SMART LEAN initiatives, trial runs, and cost evaluations.
- Monitor and identify critical parameters of production processes and machinery.
- Maintain process checklists and logbooks to ensure compliance and traceability.
- Assist with new process setups (NPI) and support documentation including Work Instructions.
- Provide training for manufacturing personnel on processes and documentation.
- Perform precise measurements during second source component trial runs using appropriate tools.
Required Experience and Skills
- 2 to 3 years of experience in production or engineering fields, preferably in SMT or related manufacturing industries.
- Knowledge of Gas Coating Process or comparable PCB coating equipment.
- Practical skills in operating and troubleshooting SMT machinery.
- Competence in measurement tools such as calipers and digital microscopes.
- Ability to interpret 2D and 3D technical drawings and electrical circuit diagrams.
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting capabilities for printed circuit board assembly (PCBA).
