About the Role
The Team Member position in Reserves & Sportsfields at Northern Beaches Council offers a permanent, full-time opportunity to contribute to maintaining outdoor recreational areas within Sydney's Northern Beaches. Working 38 hours weekly, this role supports the Parks & Open Space unit in managing various community spaces and sporting facilities with a focus on safety and efficiency.
Organizational Context
The Northern Beaches Council spans a coastal region from Palm Beach to Manly, hosting over 270,000 residents and encompassing more than half of Sydney's beaches. The Parks & Open Space business unit is responsible for providing and maintaining recreational areas and assets, including reserves, commercial centers, sporting fields, tree management, asset planning, and operational support.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out proactive and safe maintenance of Open Space Reserves and Sportsfield assets adhering to approved service standards.
- Handle high workload volumes while effectively managing competing priorities to ensure timely task completion.
Candidate Profile
Ideal candidates will have demonstrated experience in leading people within Parks and Open Space services. A proven background in managing outdoor space assets and a motivation to contribute positively to community wellbeing is essential.
