About the School
Lowell Community Charter Public School (LCCPS) is a lively K1-8 community serving 815 students, along with their families and staff. The school is proud to support Lowell’s culturally rich population, including communities with roots in Central and South America, Central Africa, and Southeast Asia.
Role Overview
The school is seeking a Teacher Apprentice for K-8 across all grades and subjects. This opportunity is designed for an aspiring educator who is nearing completion of a degree and preparing to step into a teaching role. In this position, you will collaborate closely with teaching teams, support students directly, deliver instruction, and assume responsibility for the classroom for portions of the school day.
Preferred Education and Background
- Currently working toward Massachusetts state certification with the relevant endorsement(s).
- Recent and successful experience with students in a school environment is preferred.
- Either already holding a bachelor’s degree or being close to completing one.
- Background in a second language or language acquisition is an advantage.
- Prior work with students from varied socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds is preferred.
