Responsibilities
- Oversee and enhance the entire recruitment lifecycle, from job advertising through onboarding coordination.
- Collaborate closely with hiring managers to assess staffing requirements and offer strategic advice regarding job descriptions, candidate profiles, and selection methods.
- Implement proactive candidate sourcing tactics including utilizing job boards, social platforms, networking, and developing talent pipelines.
- Evaluate applications and conduct preliminary interviews to ensure alignment with role needs and company standards.
- Schedule interviews and maintain clear, consistent communication with candidates throughout the hiring process.
- Keep precise and updated records in the applicant tracking system (ATS) and produce recruitment metrics and trend analyses.
- Ensure hiring practices comply with federal regulations and internal policies, particularly in government contracting contexts.
- Represent Canvas at recruitment fairs, job events, and community outreach programs.
- Promote a positive candidate experience reflective of Canvas’s culture and values.
- Support diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives by sourcing from varied talent pools and encouraging fair hiring practices.
- Advise on recruitment process enhancements based on data such as time-to-fill metrics and candidate feedback.
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of five years’ experience in talent acquisition or recruitment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build effective partnerships across departments.
- Experience with applicant tracking systems; familiarity with Workday is preferred.
- Ability to manage a substantial number of job requisitions while maintaining high-quality candidate engagement.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and capability to juggle multiple priorities efficiently.
- A proactive and results-oriented approach with a dedication to connecting candidates with rewarding career paths.
- Previous experience supporting hiring in government contracting environments is advantageous.
- Capability to analyze recruitment data to discern trends and propose practical improvements.
Preferred Qualifications
- Expertise with Workday or large-scale ATS platforms.
- Experience recruiting for both technical and non-technical positions.
- SHRM or other talent acquisition certifications.
- Background in employer branding or recruitment marketing efforts.
