Description de l'emploi

About the company

Bluehost is focused on helping people and businesses build their presence on the web. The company works across content, commerce, and AI-driven experiences, with a strong emphasis on innovation, automation, and personalized customer journeys. As a well-known name in web hosting and WordPress, Bluehost supports creators, entrepreneurs, and businesses with tools designed to help them grow online.

Role overview

This position is for a highly technical Tag Management Specialist with deep, practical experience in Adobe Launch. The role is centered on building scalable tagging systems, writing custom JavaScript, and verifying third-party tracking across a large-scale ecommerce environment. You will be responsible for tagging workflows that process billions of events each year, while partnering with marketing, engineering, and analytics teams and reporting to the Marketing Technology Senior Manager.

Key responsibilities

  • Design and support scalable tagging architecture across multiple digital properties rather than handling isolated implementations.
  • Develop and maintain custom JavaScript inside Adobe Launch rules, including Adobe Analytics custom code such as s-object work, TL calls, custom events, eVars, and plugins.
  • Create, modify, and resolve issues in Adobe Launch components including rules, data elements, and extensions.
  • Test and validate standard marketing pixels, custom pixels, and third-party scripts on both client-side and server-side setups.
  • Work with engineering and analytics teams to build and maintain reliable data layers.
  • Confirm that Adobe Launch integrates correctly with Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, and external advertising vendors.
  • Track tag health and suggest improvements that reduce performance impact on the website.
  • Keep documentation current for tagging logic, implementation standards, naming rules, and operational processes.
  • Gather requirements from marketing, engineering, and analytics stakeholders and translate technical tagging needs for non-technical audiences.

Experience and technical requirements

  • At least 3 years of direct hands-on Adobe Launch implementation experience is mandatory.
  • At least 3 years of experience writing JavaScript and Adobe Analytics custom code within Launch rules.
  • At least 2 years of experience validating marketing pixels and third-party scripts using browser tools, Charles Proxy, or similar utilities.
  • At least 1 year of ecommerce tagging experience, including product view, cart, and purchase tracking.
  • Expert knowledge of Adobe Launch rule design, data elements, custom code, extensions, and publishing workflows.
  • Strong JavaScript ability for event-driven tracking, Adobe Analytics s-object handling, TL() link tracking, and plugin usage.
  • Working understanding of Adobe Analytics concepts such as props, eVars, events, processing rules, and custom logic.
  • Ability to inspect network activity, validate tags, and troubleshoot with tools such as Charles Proxy, Omnibug, and Adobe Debugger.
  • Exposure to consent management and privacy compliance tools such as OneTrust and cookie compliance flows.
  • Working proficiency in HTML and CSS.
  • Experience with server-side tagging is strongly preferred.
  • CDP ingestion experience is a plus, though not required.

Preferred qualifications

  • Certification in Adobe Launch or Adobe Analytics is preferred.
  • Experience with Google Tag Manager or Tealium IQ is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with Jira or similar project tracking tools is helpful.
  • Understanding of digital marketing campaign structures and attribution is valuable.
  • Exposure to Adobe Web SDK is considered a plus.

Working style

The ideal candidate can quickly diagnose a broken tag, trace the issue to a Launch rule or condition, implement the fix in custom code, and document the resolution. A systems-oriented mindset, attention to naming conventions, and a commitment to clean data layers are essential.

Benefits and culture

  • Bluehost offers flexibility across work-from-home, hybrid, and office-based arrangements.
  • The company emphasizes work-life balance and a supportive workplace culture.
  • Diversity, inclusion, and belonging are active parts of the employee experience.
  • Employees can access health insurance options, education and certification sponsorships, flexi-leaves, and other benefits.
  • There are opportunities for learning, mentorship, growth, and exposure to different parts of the business.

Additional information

This role is based in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region and is a full-time onsite position. The posting notes that the job description may include other duties and responsibilities beyond those listed here, and that Bluehost may update the role requirements when needed.
