Role Overview
NELOGIS is seeking a Supply Systems Analyst to support Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Distribution Centers located in California. The role's main purpose is to efficiently manage and execute various supply chain functions such as receiving, storage, inventory control, packaging, care of supplies in storage, stock selection, issue processing, packing, shipping, and distribution of repair parts and secondary items. This support will extend to on-base, local, and global customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze data and transactions to identify problem areas in supply systems.
- Evaluate the possibility of consolidating, eliminating, or expanding interconnected supply system functions.
- Assess the impact of proposed or new changes to systems and regulations.
- Collaborate with functional users to address operational and procedural issues.
- Conduct research on specific functional problem areas.
- Apply extensive knowledge of supply program relationships to perform studies, reviews, and investigations.
- Manage and control materials through receipt, storage, warehousing, issuance, packing, and transportation by abiding by policies and procedures.
- Work closely with government supply systems analysts and storage specialists.
Candidate Qualifications
- Previous work experience at a DLA Distribution Facility is required.
- At least three years of experience within the past five years in using DLA's Warehouse Management System (WMS) or a comparable automated WMS.
- Eligibility for Secret security clearance is mandatory for employment.
- Candidate must be a U.S. citizen.
- Possession of an active Secret clearance is considered an advantage.
- Residency in San Diego, Barstow, or San Joaquin areas is a plus.
Additional Information
- This is a full-time position requiring 40 hours per week.
- The work location is to be determined but will be within the State of California.
