Role Overview
This role involves managing procurement, inventory, vendor relations, and supply chain planning within the food and beverage sector of a hospitality group based in Dubai.
Key Responsibilities
- Create purchase orders in line with approved requisitions, sourcing food, beverage, packaging, and operational items from authorized suppliers.
- Negotiate vendor quotations to optimize costs, payment terms, and delivery timelines while maintaining quality standards.
- Oversee inventory across the central warehouse and retail outlets, ensuring balanced stock levels and minimizing shortages or excess.
- Monitor product movement velocity including slow, fast, and non-moving items, and support regular stock audits and inventory reconciliation processes.
- Implement expiry tracking systems and apply FIFO (First-In-First-Out) and FEFO (First-Expire-First-Out) inventory management methodologies.
- Plan and coordinate supply requisitions daily and weekly based on sales forecasts and consumption data to ensure on-time delivery and prevent stockouts.
- Maintain and build relationships with approved suppliers, monitor their performance, promptly handle vendor issues, and assist with onboarding new suppliers.
- Produce detailed reports covering procurement activity, inventory status, purchase trends, cost saving opportunities, stock deviations, wastage, and supplier effectiveness, using ERP systems for accuracy.
- Ensure all procurement processes comply fully with organizational policies, food safety regulations, and quality standards, supporting audit readiness and execution.
- Collaborate with Operations, Finance, Warehouse, Store Managers, and logistics partners to coordinate delivery schedules and quickly address any supply chain disruptions impacting restaurant operations.
