Position Summary

The Supply Chain Co-op role is a four-month full-time placement designed to offer practical exposure to strategic sourcing, supplier management, and supply chain workflows. The student will contribute significantly to projects improving data accuracy, procurement compliance, and overall operational efficiency, gaining experience with business systems, supplier data management, reporting, and process enhancement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in generating reports, validating data, and driving continuous improvements.
• Contribute to vendor risk management through support with ERP and procurement system data integration and upkeep.
• Help onboard suppliers, review documentation, and monitor risk assessments.
• Maintain up-to-date supplier records including certifications, insurance paperwork, and compliance information.
• Support building and updating the preferred vendor catalogue and approved product lists.
• Work on standardizing product details, supplier attributes, and associated sourcing documents.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure catalogue information accurately aligns with sourcing strategies.
• Develop supply chain training content, reference manuals, and detailed process documentation.
• Contribute to enhancing onboarding and ongoing learning programs within the supply chain function.
• Document best practices and standard operating procedures related to procurement and supplier management.
• Support supplier communications, contract review processes, and pricing validations.
• Engage with various internal stakeholders to support supply chain initiatives and improvements.
• Manage multiple projects effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Candidate Qualifications

• Current enrolment in a relevant post-secondary program such as Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations, or Data Analytics.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel with strong analytical capabilities handling large datasets.
• Genuine interest in procurement technologies, supplier management, ERP systems, and process optimizations.
• Excellent attention to detail with reliable data organization and maintenance skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Capable of working both independently and collaboratively within a team setting.
• Experience or exposure to procurement or business intelligence tools will be advantageous.
