Role summary

The Student Support Assistant helps ensure that pupils with additional educational needs are included and supported within the school community. The role typically involves working closely with one student to reduce barriers to learning, including needs related to English language support, social, emotional, behavioural, or other academic challenges. Working alongside class teachers, the assistant helps deliver structured support both in lessons and through one-to-one guidance inside and outside the classroom.
