Noon Academy stands as the top educational technology platform in the Middle East, serving more than 12 million students and educators through its app, facilitating learning, teaching, and collaboration. Having secured $41 million in Series B funding, the company is set on accelerating its impact locally and internationally. Its mission centers on transforming traditional classroom activities by leveraging social, group-based learning alongside artificial intelligence to enhance engagement and learning efficiency. Currently, Noon Academy is focusing on revolutionizing education in Saudi Arabia with rapid growth and profitability, operating from an office near the Boulevard in Riyadh.
Role Overview
The Student Journey Lead is essential in overseeing and refining the comprehensive student experience throughout their learning path at Noon. This role involves shaping the foundational design principles of student journeys, monitoring journey maps across various student segments, interpreting student feedback into actionable insights, and facilitating initiatives that enhance each phase of the student experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain design guidelines that define how student journeys should be structured to ensure clarity, motivation, and achievable milestones.
- Update and manage a detailed journey map across different student cohorts segmented by grade, skill level, courses, and learning tracks.
- Collaborate closely with product teams, instructional staff, and school operations to ensure the journey map reflects actual student experiences.
- Utilize the motivation system—comprising rewards, coins, and progression indicators—to encourage completion, analyze its effectiveness, and address segments where engagement drops.
- Identify opportunities to improve motivation by experimenting with reward systems or altering design elements.
- Gather and systematize student feedback from surveys, support interactions, school input, and interviews, organizing this data into thematic insights.
- Produce concise, actionable summaries from feedback to guide team priorities.
- Coordinate pilot programs and experiments targeting new journey concepts, overseeing participant involvement, design specifics, and success metrics.
- Monitor and report outcomes from experiments, ensuring lessons learned are clearly communicated.
- Assist in creating impactful student experiences for key moments such as orientations, exam results announcements, and milestone celebrations.
Qualifications & Attributes
- At least two years of professional experience in product roles or similar positions where organizing and analyzing information to inform decisions was key.
- Highly organized and dependable with strong accountability in task follow-ups.
- Analytical mindset driven to uncover underlying reasons behind student behaviors and completion rates.
- Comfortable supporting team members as a reliable secondary contributor who enhances overall team effectiveness.
- Aptitude for interpreting qualitative data such as survey comments beyond surface-level averages.
- Self-motivated with the discipline to manage and advance personal work streams proactively while alerting stakeholders to potential delays.
- Desire to deepen expertise in journey design and progressively take on ownership of this domain.
