Strategy and Planning Specialist

Overview

Qatar Aircraft Catering Company is looking for an analytical and proactive Strategy and Planning Specialist to join their team in Doha. This role focuses on supporting strategic planning activities and operational decisions for the catering operations. By analyzing vital performance indicators and developing insightful business intelligence reports, the specialist will facilitate alignment between strategic goals and daily operations, contributing to sustainable growth, efficiency, and innovation.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in crafting and implementing strategic plans for the catering facility.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to assess emerging opportunities, challenges, and market trends.
• Deliver thorough market research and operational data insights to support informed decision-making.
• Create and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and dashboards centered on efficiency, cost management, and service excellence.
• Leverage business intelligence tools, artificial intelligence, and data analytics to uncover trends, potential risks, and areas for improvement.
• Conduct forecasting and scenario planning to ensure business resilience and growth trajectories.
• Evaluate strategic project proposals for feasibility, financial implications, and alignment with business objectives.
• Develop complete business cases from problem identification through ROI analysis, preparing presentations for stakeholders and management approvals.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure smooth execution of projects, monitoring timelines, budgets, and deliverables against standards.
• Work closely with operations, finance, IT, and procurement departments to synchronize strategies with operational execution.
• Identify process enhancement opportunities to improve service delivery and operational efficiency.
• Ensure adherence to food safety, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance.
• Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations to keep senior leadership informed on strategic progress.
• Facilitate strategy-related meetings involving internal and external parties.
• Support senior management in overarching strategic and high-level decision-making activities.
• Regularly review and refine departmental goals, plans, and procedures, implementing necessary adjustments.
• Coach and develop team members to promote succession planning.
• Introduce best practices aimed at improving administrative workflows and workforce planning.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree coupled with a minimum of five years’ relevant professional experience.
• Strong communication, presentation, influencing, negotiation skills and the ability to work effectively across different organizational levels.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive records and data.
• Expertise in artificial intelligence, business intelligence tools, and dashboard development is essential.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, MS Access, and Oracle Financials.
• Strong interpersonal and relationship management capabilities.
• Proven ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders, including operations, production, HR, and commercial teams.
