Description de l'emploi
Job purpose
The Strategy Analyst helps the Chief Strategy Officer (CSO) turn the hospital’s long-term vision into clear, measurable actions. This position keeps the strategic plan under regular review, checks progress against targets, and supports execution across departments. Using the Balanced Scorecard (BSC), data analysis, and structured tracking of improvement projects, the role provides the analytical and operational support needed for corporate strategy. The work links executive strategy with everyday performance so leadership can make timely, evidence-based decisions that strengthen the organization’s mission of delivering high-quality, patient-centred healthcare.
Key responsibilities
- Support the CSO in annual and multi-year strategic planning, and help run cross-functional alignment sessions so departmental goals connect properly to the enterprise plan.
- Develop, maintain, and continuously improve the organization’s Balanced Scorecard across financial, customer, internal process, and learning & growth dimensions.
- Prepare executive-level performance materials such as KPI dashboards, variance reviews, and scorecards for the CSO, senior leadership, and the Board of Directors.
- Convert organization-wide strategic goals into department-level scorecards and operating targets, ensuring alignment both vertically and across functions.
- Work with senior leaders and cross-functional stakeholders to collect data, test assumptions, and build support for strategic initiatives.
- Spot strategic risks, emerging trends, and performance gaps; escalate major issues to the CSO with evidence-based recommendations and corrective actions.
- Identify gaps in strategic capability and Balanced Scorecard usage, advise on learning needs, and contribute to strategic literacy initiatives.
- Carry out advanced quantitative and qualitative analysis on clinical, operational, and financial information to uncover trends, gaps, and opportunities.
- Design KPI structures, define metrics and targets, and create dashboard/reporting logic in tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
- Build financial models, scenario analyses, and cost-benefit/ROI assessments to support investment decisions and strategic recommendations.
- Track the strategic project portfolio, check whether initiatives remain aligned with BSC objectives, and flag portfolio-level risks or gaps.
- Review process improvement initiatives through impact and cost-benefit analysis, then assess post-implementation results and fold findings into strategic reporting.
- Draft strategic presentations, memos, and briefing notes for the CSO, executive team, and Board, and help prepare materials for retreats and performance reviews.
- Attend steering committees and executive meetings as an analytical partner, share insights, and follow up on action items.
- Respond quickly to urgent analytical requests from the CSO and leadership team with focused research and structured analysis.
Requirements
- Strong analytical ability with sharp attention to detail and the capacity to interpret complex data accurately.
- 4 to 6 years of experience in data analysis, business strategy, or strategic planning; healthcare experience is considered a strong advantage.
- Hands-on proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, and data visualization platforms such as Power BI or Tableau.
- Experience operating in structured, multi-stakeholder environments.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Management, Data Analytics, Economics, or a related discipline is required.
- Master’s degree such as MBA, MHA, or MPH is strongly preferred.
- Preferred certifications include project analysis, business analytics, project management, KPI, OKR, Balanced Scorecard, strategy, analytics, or performance management credentials such as BSC Professional, OKR, PMP, or Data Analytics.
- Strong administrative and organizational capability.
- Excellent spoken and written communication in both Arabic and English.
- Strong command of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Ability to produce clear reports, meeting minutes, and accurate records.
- Good time management, precision, and attention to detail.
- Basic familiarity with IT service workflows and healthcare IT systems is desirable.
- Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism.
- Strong work ethic, dependability, accountability, positive attitude, adaptability, honesty, integrity, self-motivation, eagerness to learn, and confidence.
