Strategic Sourcing Team Overview
This dynamic team is central to Tag's sourcing capabilities, focusing on enhancing profitability, operational efficiency, and excellence throughout the Retail Activations network. The team crafts and executes scalable supply chain strategies to consolidate expenditures into a compliant and innovative vendor base aligned with Tag's objectives. Key priorities include cost savings, cultivating strategic vendor partnerships, fostering innovation, and embedding governance and sustainability at the core of client value creation.
Role Summary
The Strategic Sourcing Manager will manage and advance supply chains across Australia and New Zealand, connecting client demands with outstanding sourcing practices. This position requires transforming complex customer data into competitive pricing frameworks, onboarding and managing local suppliers, spearheading Supplier Relationship Management (SRM), while simultaneously driving cost reductions, innovation, and sustainable sourcing.
Primary Responsibilities
- Identify, assess, and onboard suppliers within Print, POSM, Premiums, and Digital Activations across ANZ.
- Ensure vendors comply with corporate governance and sustainability policies.
- Coordinate Requests for Information and Proposals, overseeing large-scale pricing initiatives.
- Create and maintain competitive, standardized pricing rate cards.
- Define supplier key performance indicators and facilitate continuous enhancement through regular business reviews.
- Monitor risks like economic shifts and supply chain disruptions to mitigate impact.
- Formulate contingency sourcing plans to uphold uninterrupted operations.
- Lead initiatives aimed at cost efficiencies and value enhancement.
- Advocate for the use of sustainable materials, technologies, and supplier standards.
Desired Skills and Experience
- Background in manufacturing sectors such as print, POSM, packaging, agency sourcing, or corporate procurement.
- In-depth knowledge of marketing production processes and supplier networks.
- Competence in managing multi-category sourcing projects.
- Between 3 and 8 years’ experience in strategic sourcing or procurement in the ANZ region.
- Technical expertise in print production, POSM, or marketing asset manufacturing.
- Acquaintance with sustainability certification systems including FSC, PEFC, EcoVadis, and SMETA.
- Advanced data analysis capabilities with experience managing extensive datasets.
- Excellent negotiation skills coupled with effective stakeholder engagement.
