Position summary
Based in Brisbane, Australia, this senior analyst position supports company-level strategy by delivering commercial and financial insights to the CEO, CFO, and Strategic Advisor. The role centers on building financial models, managing planning cycles, preparing reporting for leadership and investors, and assessing business, funding, and investment opportunities.
Core responsibilities
- Create and update financial models, cash flow forecasts, and project-based scenarios.
- Contribute to annual budgeting, rolling forecasts, and sensitivity or scenario analysis.
- Draft board materials, investor-facing presentations, and market or business updates.
- Assess strategic projects, acquisitions, investments, and funding options.
- Assist with due diligence, commercial evaluation, and recommendation development.
- Prepare executive-level reports while maintaining strong model controls and accurate data.
Required profile
- A bachelor’s qualification in finance, commerce, economics, engineering, or a similar discipline is required.
- The ideal candidate brings 5 to 8 years of experience in corporate finance, FP&A, commercial analysis, investment banking, or equity research.
- Strong capability in advanced financial modelling, forecasting, and scenario planning is essential.
- Experience producing board packs, investor decks, or capital markets materials is needed.
- Excellent analytical ability, communication skills, and stakeholder management are expected.
- The position calls for someone who can partner with senior leaders and balance several priorities at once.
Preferred background
Professional credentials such as CA, CPA, or CFA are preferred, whether completed or currently underway. Exposure to mining, resources, exploration, or broader natural resources businesses will be an advantage.
