About the Role
European Air Transport Leipzig GmbH, part of Europe’s largest DHL airline, is seeking a Storekeeper to support warehouse and materials handling activities in an aviation maintenance environment at the airport in Schkeuditz, Saxony. The role sits within an organization that combines flight operations and maintenance under one roof, offering a dynamic setting for aviation professionals.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the flow of materials into and out of the store area and maintain control over all parts held in inventory.
- Hand out tools, operating equipment, and aircraft components to aircraft mechanics as required.
- Keep inventory records current and document all movements of parts, tools, and supplies for maintenance and outstations.
- Store components, materials, and tools in line with company procedures and manufacturer requirements.
- Track tools assigned to the maintenance team and ensure proper monitoring.
- Pick orders and prepare shipments for base maintenance, maintenance stations, and C-check activities.
- Provide administrative support to maintenance teams, including preparing engineering requests based on aircraft documentation.
- Raise material requests when stock is needed.
- Support inventory control and coordinate exchange of materials in Fly Away Kits across the network.
- Maintain and update various internal overviews, including MOC-related records such as road trip kit lists.
- Store, move, and retrieve tools, consumables, and aircraft parts according to operational and departmental needs.
- Prepare and dispatch COMAT shipments for field stations.
- Receive, inspect, and record deliveries from stations and suppliers.
- Load and unload vehicles as part of daily operations.
- Carry out regular stock checks and support inventory cooperation.
- Handle internal transport tasks and contribute to ongoing projects.
Requirements
- Completed vocational training in a specialized field, such as warehouse logistics, along with several years of relevant work experience.
- Strong command of German and English.
- Training in load securing is an advantage.
- Certificate of competence under Section 20 of the Explosives Act is desirable.
- Valid driving licence.
- IATA PK-8 certificate.
- Ability to work independently and with a careful, responsible approach.
