This position is a full-time, on-site role in Kolkata for a Store Incharge & Purchase professional. The selected candidate will oversee daily store activities, control inventory movement, and support purchasing from requirement identification through supplier follow-up. The role also supports internal coordination with operations, accounts, and service teams to ensure materials are available on time and processes remain efficient.

Role responsibilities

• Handle the inward and outward flow of materials, tools, and equipment.
• Keep stock registers and inventory data accurate and updated.
• Carry out regular physical stock checks and reconcile differences.
• Track minimum and maximum stock levels and raise purchase requests before shortages occur.
• Collect quotations from vendors and compare price, quality, and delivery terms.
• Prepare purchase orders and monitor progress until order completion.
• Coordinate with suppliers to secure timely procurement and delivery.
• Maintain proper records for purchase orders, invoices, GRNs, and stock documents.
• Work with service and operations teams to ensure materials are available for projects and maintenance work.
• Look for ways to lower procurement spend and improve inventory efficiency.
• Follow company procedures and inventory control policies consistently.

Experience and qualifications

• 1 to 5 years of experience in store handling, inventory control, purchasing, or supply chain work.
• Background in HVAC, electrical, mechanical, construction, engineering, industrial equipment, or facility management is preferred.
• Experience with spare parts, tools, consumables, and technical stock handling is an added advantage.
• Prior work with vendors, transporters, and procurement processes will be useful.
• Hands-on store management experience, including documentation, stock reconciliation, and inventory control.
• Basic knowledge of loss prevention or inventory shrinkage control methods.
• Comfort with Excel, ERP, or store management software and strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work full time from the Kolkata site and manage multiple priorities effectively.
• A diploma or bachelor’s degree in supply chain, commerce, business, or a related field is preferred.
