Key Responsibilities
- Manage inventory records accurately for raw materials, finished goods, and other items.
- Perform regular stock audits to align physical stock with system records.
- Monitor and regulate stock quantities to prevent shortages or excessive inventory.
- Supervise material receipt, storage, and dispatch operations effectively.
- Ensure hazardous chemicals are stored with proper labeling and safety in compliance with regulations.
- Collaborate with production and procurement teams for optimized inventory scheduling.
- Follow and enforce safety procedures for chemical handling and storage.
- Maintain compliance with statutory requirements such as MSDS, labeling, and storage norms.
- Conduct frequent inspections of storage facilities to uphold safety and quality standards.
- Keep inventory management systems updated and maintain thorough documentation.
- Generate and distribute regular stock and consumption reports (daily, weekly, monthly).
- Manage documents related to goods received, issued, and interdepartmental transfers.
- Coordinate with vendors to ensure on-time delivery of raw materials and spares.
- Work closely with logistics teams for smooth transportation and dispatch activities.
- Lead, train, and supervise store staff on inventory and safety procedures for efficient operations.
- Oversee logistics functions such as planning, coordinating inbound and outbound movement, and warehousing.
- Optimize transportation routes and schedules to guarantee timely delivery of products.
- Foster relationships with suppliers, transporters, and service providers to ensure seamless supply chain operations.
- Negotiate contracts with vendors to secure cost-effective and high-quality services.
Candidate Requirements
- Possession of a Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related disciplines is required.
- Additional diploma or certification in chemical handling or warehousing is advantageous.
- One to five years of experience in storekeeping, ideally within chemical or manufacturing sectors.
