About the Role

The Waldorf Astoria Orlando, an esteemed Forbes 4-Star property located near Walt Disney Resort, is seeking a dedicated Steward to join their stewarding team. This luxurious hotel features 502 guest rooms, 30,000 square feet designated for banquet events, and seven diverse dining outlets including restaurants, bars, and poolside services. As a Steward, you will play a vital role in delivering impeccable hospitality by ensuring all kitchen and dining areas are maintained to the highest cleanliness standards, thereby contributing to memorable guest experiences.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Meticulously clean all dishware including chinaware, silverware, cooking tools, pots and pans, and polish silver items to a high shine.
• Manage inventory of supplies and equipment, ensuring they are well-stocked and orderly to facilitate smooth service operations.
• Maintain overall kitchen sanitation by performing routine tasks such as mopping floors and removing trash.
• Assist in event support by preparing and arranging clean serviceware for banquets and special functions.
• Provide training and mentorship to newly onboarded steward team members to enhance team capability and performance.
• Adhere strictly to all health, safety, sanitation, and alcohol awareness standards to guarantee the safety and wellbeing of guests and staff.
