Staff Nurse - Intellectual Disability Services

Overview

This role is for a Staff Nurse in Intellectual Disability Services at Peamount Healthcare, located in Newcastle, Co. Dublin. Both permanent full-time and part-time positions are available, with work hours ranging from 37.5 hours per week (full-time) to various part-time schedules, determined by the Department Head based on service requirements. The work is fully onsite.

Salary ranges from 37,166 to 56,592 according to the specified pay scale points. Annual leave is granted in accordance with Health Service Executive (HSE) regulations.

A panel may be formed to fill permanent and specified purpose contract vacancies of either full-time or part-time duration.

Reporting and Values

Reporting relationships include the Assistant Director of Nursing and Social Care, Clinical Nurse Managers (Levels 1, 2 & 3), and the Person In Charge.

Purpose of the Post

The role involves delivering comprehensive holistic care and support to residents of the Intellectual Disability Services at Peamount Healthcare.

Salary Placement

New hires from the private sector will generally start at the minimum salary point on the scale unless exceptions apply with proof of recognized relevant service. Incremental credit may be granted for verified service in approved public service sectors in Ireland and abroad, following Department of Health Circular 2/2011.
