About the Position

Horizons Cork is looking to hire a committed and enthusiastic Physiotherapist to join the Children's Disability Network Team 9, covering North Cork City and Blarney. This is a full-time, permanent role involving interdisciplinary teamwork to support children with complex needs including physical disabilities, intellectual disabilities, and autism along with their families.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide physiotherapy services to children with complex disabilities within various settings such as clinics, hydrotherapy pools, preschools, schools including special schools, children's homes, and community locations.
  • Assess and monitor physical development, postural management, and prescribe necessary equipment.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and families in goal setting and deliver individual and group interventions.
  • Work closely with CHO4 Physical Disability Support Services to manage and evaluate complex physical and orthopedic requirements including posture, muscle length, tone, and hip and spinal surveillance.
  • Engage in ongoing service delivery with regular supervision from senior professionals to enhance skills.

Candidate Requirements

  • Must hold a recognised Physiotherapy qualification approved by the Physiotherapists Registration Board at CORU.
  • Registered on the Physiotherapists Register maintained by CORU or have submitted proof of application under Section 91 of the Health and Social Care Professionals Act 2005.
  • Demonstrate sufficient knowledge, professional ability, and suitability for effective performance of duties.
  • Possess a full, clean driving licence and have access to a vehicle for travel between multiple service locations including the Enable Ireland campus in Curraheen.
  • Have legal rights to live and work in Ireland at the time of application.

Salary and Terms

The salary is structured according to the Department of Health & Children Consolidated Scales as of June 1, 2026, ranging from €45,514 up to €65,068 with incremental steps in between.
