Role Summary

The Staff Financial Analyst in FP&A and Controller role will manage global financial planning, forecasting, and performance tracking for the High-Performance Computing (HPC) global Engineering Organization. Reporting to the Product Group's Japan Controller, this position acts as a strategic finance advisor, facilitating informed capital allocation and growth strategies through data-driven insights. The role includes developing consolidated financial models, leading budgeting and forecasting processes, and building a strong FP&A team collaborating across Americas, Europe, and Asia-Pacific regions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead annual operating plans, quarterly forecasts, and 3–5 year long-term financial planning to align strategy with operations and financial results.
  • Collaborate closely with Engineering leadership to support financial planning, ad hoc analysis, and capital investment decision-making, translating technical data into actionable financial insights.
  • Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for financial and operational assessment; produce monthly reports detailing budget and forecast variances with recommendations.
  • Conduct financial modeling, valuation, and due diligence to guide investment decisions and optimize capital usage aligned with strategic goals.
  • Implement, standardize, and monitor corporate policies and procedures within the global Engineering Organization in coordination with Renesas India’s Accounting & Regulatory team.
  • Lead, develop, and nurture a high-performing FP&A team, driving process improvements and adapting in dynamic environments.

Qualifications and Expertise

  • Minimum 8 years of progressively responsible finance experience, including at least 3 years in senior FP&A or finance leadership roles within public companies, preferably in semiconductor, manufacturing, or technology sectors.
  • Hands-on experience in cost modeling, investment appraisals, and business case evaluations.
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS accounting standards and proficiency with enterprise ERP systems such as NetSuite, SAP, or Oracle.
  • Demonstrated capability to support senior executives in decision-making through clear and compelling financial narratives.
  • Proven track record of thriving in dynamic, fast-paced teams.
