Role Overview
The Sourcing Specialist is tasked with managing the full sourcing contract lifecycle across the enterprise to secure optimal contract value. Responsibilities include supplier due diligence, reviewing sourcing requests, contract drafting and revisions, managing information requests, coordinating approvals, initiating contract administration systems, and completing contract execution. This role involves negotiating contracts to acquire goods and services at the correct cost, timing, location, and quality, while minimizing risk. Your expertise will support Verizon’s status as a leader in supply chain excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Agile management of various contracts across multiple categories to satisfy business demands and contractual service targets.
- Analyzing financial and business data to ensure supplier total value of ownership and technical capability alignment.
- Developing supporting documentation and improving sourcing processes.
- Leading cross-functional teams through strategic sourcing activities, contract negotiations, and administration using sourcing platforms.
- Negotiating contract terms collaboratively with suppliers and internal legal and contract teams to achieve cost-effective, sustainable agreements.
- Overseeing supplier relationship management for key suppliers within assigned categories.
- Collaborating with category teams, legal, business leaders, and contract liaisons to optimize the contract lifecycle and maintain clear communication with stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
- Certifications such as CPSM, CPM, or CIPS.
- Experience in sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management.
- Flexibility to work variable shifts to meet project deadlines.
- Openness to continuous learning of new tools, technologies, and solutions.
- Capability to lead meetings and present to small groups.
- Proficiency with Verizon-approved AI tools, including Gemini and Gemini Notebook.
- Legal authorization to work in Ireland without need for employment sponsorship.
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Master's degree.
- Additional certifications such as CSCP.
- Ability to independently draft statements of work, master agreements, and amendments.
- Experience with Lean Six Sigma methodologies.
- Familiarity with Ariba, SAP, Google Suite, and Microsoft Office applications.
- Skill in leading meetings and delivering presentations to large audiences.
- Experience in data analysis and forecasting with ability to extract actionable insights.

Additional Information
This position involves hybrid work with a combination of remote and designated office days as arranged with management. The normal workweek is 37.5 hours.
