Role Overview
The Solutions Engineer for Kinaxis Maestro Supply Chain Planning will focus on configuring, enhancing, and optimizing the Kinaxis Maestro platform to support comprehensive supply chain planning and decision-making processes. This position involves collaboration with business stakeholders and technical teams to deliver scalable solutions covering areas such as demand planning, supply planning, inventory optimization, and network planning.
Responsibilities
- Configure and enhance Kinaxis Maestro solutions to streamline supply chain planning workflows.
- Develop and modify workbooks, worksheets, crosstabs, dashboards, profile variables, expressions, and business rules.
- Support various supply chain initiatives, including Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Inventory Optimization, Network Planning, Distribution Requirements Planning (DRP), Master Production Scheduling (MPS), and Capacity Planning.
- Engage with business teams to gather requirements and translate them into effective system configurations.
- Manage data integration efforts, encompassing data mapping, validation, scheduled data loads, and resolving data quality issues.
- Conduct thorough system testing and validate solution enhancements to ensure alignment with business needs.
- Identify and troubleshoot application issues through root cause analysis and continuous monitoring.
- Optimize platform performance and maintain system reliability.
- Collaborate with technical teams to support integrations and ensure data consistency across connected systems.
- Document solution designs, configurations, and support processes meticulously.
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to best practices and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum of 4 years in implementing, configuring, or supporting enterprise planning solutions.
- Proven hands-on experience with Kinaxis Maestro (formerly RapidResponse) configuration and support.
- Expertise in working with Kinaxis elements such as workbooks, worksheets, crosstabs, expressions, profile variables, and business rules.
- Proficient in one or more supply chain areas: Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Inventory Optimization, Network Planning, DRP, MPS.
- Experience with data integration, including mapping, validation, and scheduled updates.
- Strong analytical abilities with problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to gather and translate business requirements into system configurations.
- Experience working in Agile or iterative delivery environments.
Preferred Skills
- Kinaxis Author Certification Level 1 and/or Level 2.
- Background in Kinaxis Maestro or RapidResponse deployment in large-scale enterprises.
- Familiarity with statistical forecasting, demand sensing, inventory optimization methodologies, safety stock planning, and replenishment strategies.
- Experience with ETL and enterprise data integration frameworks.
- Knowledge of APIs and system-to-system integrations.
- Participation in supply chain transformation or digital planning initiatives.
- Industry experience in healthcare, pharmaceuticals, manufacturing, distribution, or logistics.
- Experience coaching or mentoring junior colleagues.
- Understanding of software development life cycle, automation practices, and testing methodologies.
- Degree in Supply Chain, Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related fields, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Work Arrangement and Additional Information
- Position is onsite in Cork, Ireland, with a hybrid work arrangement based on business needs.
- Limited travel may be required for workshops and stakeholder meetings.
- Applicants must be able to work extensively on computers and engage effectively in virtual meetings.
Compensation and Benefits
McKesson offers a comprehensive Total Rewards package supporting physical, mental, and financial wellness, tailored to diverse employee needs. The base salary range for this role lies between €57,800 and €96,300, with total compensation reflecting performance, experience, skills, equity considerations, and geographic factors. Additional incentives such as annual bonuses or long-term incentives may be included.
