Role Summary

The Social Media Manager will work from the Maiduguri office on a full-time basis and will be responsible for shaping the college’s presence across social platforms. The role includes planning, producing, and scheduling content, maintaining a consistent brand voice, and running campaigns that support awareness and engagement.

Key Duties

The position requires building and delivering social media plans, publishing optimized content, reviewing engagement data, and preparing reports on performance. The role also involves partnering with academic and administrative teams to highlight courses, events, and student success stories, while handling audience comments and direct messages professionally and promptly.

Platform and Brand Management

The selected candidate will monitor changes in social media trends and apply current best practices to improve reach, interaction, and the institution’s digital visibility. Attention to brand consistency and audience engagement is essential across all channels.

Qualifications

Applicants should bring experience in managing social media pages for an organization or brand, ideally in education or a similar field. A background in Marketing, Communications, Media, or another relevant discipline is helpful. Familiarity with major platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, X, and LinkedIn, along with basic analytics tools, is expected. The role also benefits from knowledge of graphic design or simple video editing tools.

Work Expectations

This is an on-site role in Maiduguri, and the successful candidate must be able to manage several priorities at once, work within deadlines, and perform effectively in a dynamic environment.
