About the Role
Join a dynamic team within the Social@Ogilvy division, where creativity is fueled by insight, groundbreaking ideas, impeccable execution, and a lively workplace atmosphere. As a mid-weight Social Media Manager, you will collaborate with social strategists, content creators, and community managers to lead the daily execution of social initiatives including organic content schedules, influencer-driven programs, and impactful integrated campaigns. Your expertise in social platforms and trends will be key in supporting authentic brand participation in cultural moments and in delivering client-focused social strategies that resonate both commercially and culturally.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily social media execution for client accounts ensuring projects align with briefs, timelines, and expectations.
- Support development of social strategies that are insight-driven and culturally relevant, contributing to content planning, channel strategies, and trend-based ideas.
- Assist content creators and community managers in content production, publishing, and audience engagement, maintaining high quality standards.
- Collaborate closely with clients to uncover opportunities, communicate briefs effectively, and provide knowledgeable counsel rooted in solid fundamentals.
- Contribute to regular client reporting by compiling data, extracting insights, and illustrating the effectiveness of social campaigns.
- Utilize WPP Open, Ogilvy's proprietary AI platform, to enhance workflow efficiencies, content output, and client service.
- Identify areas for additional client value and participate in new business initiatives when requested.
Candidate Profile
- Deep understanding of major social media platforms including formats, algorithm updates, and cultural influences impacting content effectiveness.
- Strong organizational capabilities with a proven ability to juggle multiple tasks without error.
- Meticulous attention to detail ensuring content and campaigns are flawless prior to launch.
- Creative sensibility coupled with strategic thinking in content development.
- Familiarity with social content production processes ranging from reactive trend-driven content to planned shoots and live captures.
- Experience in managing influencer and creator-led initiatives and ongoing social activities.
- Clear, precise communication skills with good judgment regarding escalation procedures.
- A motivated, curious attitude with willingness to learn from experienced strategists and creatives.
