The Role
The Social Media Coordinator will be responsible for developing and managing content calendars, actively engaging with online communities, tracking potential leads, handling direct messages, and analyzing performance metrics and overall account health for various brand profiles.
Key Responsibilities
- Grow and manage social media communities across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and LinkedIn.
- Monitor brand channels and relevant conversations to identify impactful engagement opportunities.
- Engage attentively with followers by managing comments, responses, and direct messages.
- Analyze cultural and brand trends to provide authentic insights into subcultures.
- Create platform-specific content daily across multiple formats.
- Prepare daily reports summarizing observations and actionable recommendations beyond basic tracking.
- Escalate negative feedback appropriately and proactively insert the brand into pertinent discussions.
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum two years of experience managing and expanding social media communities.
- Proven track record of growing audiences on Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and other social media platforms.
- Ability to blend creative and analytical skills to craft actionable narratives for clients.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, and mobile content creation tools.
- Portfolio of recent content examples from accounts previously managed (to be requested).
- Collaborative personality that aligns well with the Surroundings Group team culture.
Work Schedule
This is a full-time role requiring at least 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, from 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time, with work onsite at the Tampa, Florida studio.
