Skilled Machine Operator - Day and Night Shifts

About the Role

Join Yeo Valley Organic's dynamic Production Team in Newton Abbot as a Skilled Machine Operator. This role is based at one of our largest manufacturing sites, where you'll contribute directly to producing high-quality yogurts, desserts, and ice cream distributed nationwide. Operate within fast-paced shifts, either days (6:00 AM to 6:00 PM) or nights (6:00 PM to 6:00 AM), demonstrating a positive, proactive approach and solid work ethic.

Key Duties

• Uphold strict Health & Safety standards and quality requirements.
• Efficiently operate a range of machinery including filling, packing, forming, or CNC machines.
• Carry out accurate packing of well-known Yeo Valley products.
• Complete paperwork meticulously, adhering to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
• Disassemble, clean, and reassemble production equipment.
• Perform additional related tasks as needed.

Candidate Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience operating machinery such as filling, packing, forming, or CNC equipment.
• Strong communication skills combined with solid literacy and numeracy capabilities for documentation accuracy.
• Ability to handle physically demanding tasks.
• Commitment to maintaining excellent cleaning and hygiene standards.
• Flexibility and readiness to work 12-hour shifts.
• Highly motivated, engaged, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.

Yeo Valley Organic is an independent British company producing over 25% of the UK's packaged yogurt across multiple dairies and logistics centers.
