Site Engineer – Fire Fighting & Fire Alarm (Maintenance)

Job Summary

We are seeking a Site Engineer who has hands-on experience in maintaining fire fighting and fire alarm systems. In this role, you will oversee maintenance operations, guide technicians on site, work with clients, investigate system issues, and make sure all activities align with fire safety requirements and project expectations.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee preventive and corrective upkeep of fire fighting and fire alarm installations.
• Plan and coordinate day-to-day site work while leading maintenance crews.
• Identify problems and carry out troubleshooting for fire alarms, sprinkler lines, hydrants, hose reels, and fire pump equipment.
• Draft maintenance summaries, inspection logs, and service-related records.
• Communicate with clients, consultants, and internal teams about ongoing maintenance work.
• Make sure all work follows local authority rules, NFPA standards, and internal company procedures.
• Carry out site checks and advise on remedial measures where needed.
• Track material needs and assist with spare parts planning.

Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering is required.
• At least 3 years of experience in fire fighting and fire alarm maintenance is necessary.
• Working knowledge of fire pumps, sprinkler networks, hydrants, hose reels, and alarm systems is expected.
• Strong fault-finding ability and people management skills are important.
• Previous UAE experience is preferred.
• A UAE driving license will be considered an advantage.

Preferred Industry Experience

Experience in Fire Protection, Facilities Management, MEP Maintenance, Building Services, or Industrial Maintenance is preferred.
