Shipping - Order Picker ON

Overview

The Order Picker ON role supports the Warehouse Manager in Ontario by making sure customer orders are picked, prepared, and shipped accurately and on time. The position also includes other tasks assigned by the direct supervisor, carried out in line with internal policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Pick merchandise, which makes up about 90% of the job.
• Use order sheets to locate the correct bins and retrieve the required product quantities.
• Operate an order picker lift truck to reach warehouse bin locations.
• Move items onto the conveyor.
• Gather accessory boxes prepared by the storekeeper and match them with the appropriate orders.
• Follow company standards and operating procedures, while also observing health and safety requirements.
• Keep work areas and equipment clean, tidy, and well organized.
• Support the annual inventory count.
• Prepare and complete different reports.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or vocational training is required.
• Strong spoken and written English skills are necessary.
• Prior experience using an elevating platform order picker or stock picker is required.
• Reach truck experience would be considered an advantage.
• At least 1 year of experience in a similar role is required.
• Experience with RF scanners and wireless devices is an asset.
• Steel-toe boots are mandatory.
• The work involves repetitive tasks.
• The environment may have changing temperatures.
• The role requires good physical stamina and the ability to regularly lift and move goods weighing 60 lbs. and above.
