Shipping Executive

Job Overview

The Shipping Executive will be responsible for overseeing and managing various operational aspects of vessel management and shipping logistics to ensure smooth sailing and compliance with financial and operational protocols.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor vessel sailing instructions, track movements, and evaluate performance metrics.
• Review the contents of charter hire statements and owners' financial accounts accurately.
• Engage in negotiations with charterers based on the terms outlined in Charter Party agreements and document discussions when necessary.
• Manage payment and receipt orders related to vessel operations to ensure timely and accurate transactions.
• Organize the renewal and maintenance of necessary vessel certificates to maintain compliance.
• Analyze the feasibility and requirements for refinancing vessels when applicable.
• Negotiate financial terms including Loan-to-Value ratios, Mark-to-Market provisions, financial covenants, and related conditions.
• Coordinate logistical activities between warehouses and delivery schedules.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Possess at least a Diploma in a relevant discipline.
• Experience onboard vessels is preferred though not mandatory.
• Exhibit a pleasant demeanor and professional attitude.
• Strong independence with commitment, assertiveness, and initiative-taking abilities.
• Fluent in spoken and written English.
• Proficient with computers, especially MS Office applications.
• Highly meticulous and efficient in managing and executing assigned responsibilities.
