About the role
EBARA Precision Machinery Europe (EPME) is part of the EBARA Group, which employs more than 19,000 people worldwide. The business supports leading semiconductor manufacturers and contributes to technologies used in IoT, cloud computing, silicon production, 5G, autonomous vehicle sensors, flat-panel displays, smartphones, and tablets. The team operates across 8 countries with over 200 employees, and this position is based at a customer site in Leixlip, County Kildare, Ireland.
As a Service Technician, you will be responsible for the installation support and servicing of equipment on-site, helping ensure production systems run dependably for the customer. The company is seeking motivated candidates who are eager to contribute to a growing industry and work in a collaborative, high-performance environment.
Key responsibilities
- Carry out scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, as well as start-up activities, on Ebara Components equipment, including pump rack systems, vacuum pumps, gas abatement systems, and trace heating systems.
- Work with customers, third parties, and other relevant stakeholders to coordinate maintenance and IQ-related tasks.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues so equipment is returned to a production-ready condition before handover.
- Maintain accurate records of all work completed using the required systems and documentation process.
- Complete routine preventive maintenance by following clearly defined procedures and instructions.
- Escalate technical concerns to colleagues when needed to support timely resolution.
- Spot and report problems that could affect maintenance or IQ planning and schedules.
- Ensure all tasks are performed in line with site environmental, health, and safety standards.
- Take part in planning and scheduling discussions where required.
Candidate profile
- A Level 6 qualification in a relevant technical field such as mechanical, electrical, or instrumentation is required.
- Prior equipment maintenance experience is a strong advantage.
- A practical, hands-on approach to solving technical issues is important.
- Experience with low-voltage electrical systems is needed.
- You should be able to read and interpret P&IDs as well as electrical circuit diagrams.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team are essential.
- You must be willing to work 12-hour shifts on a rotating schedule covering days, nights, and weekends.
- Good IT skills are required.
