About the Role
The American University in the Emirates (AUE) is seeking a dedicated and reliable Service Personnel to support departmental operations. This role involves providing general service assistance, attending to visitors and staff, and performing various housekeeping and clerical support duties to maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming campus environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain campus facilities, offices, and corridors in a consistently clean and orderly condition.
- Regularly empty waste bins, recyclables, and other waste materials according to the established maintenance schedule.
- Perform cleaning of light fixtures, ceilings, and other elevated areas using appropriate equipment and adhering to safety protocols.
- Clean and polish office furniture and equipment to ensure a professional appearance.
- Assist with the relocation of furniture and equipment for cleaning purposes, events, or office moves.
- Monitor inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, promptly reporting any shortages, malfunctions, or maintenance needs to supervisors.
- Ensure that pantry areas are kept well-stocked and maintained.
- Prepare and arrange refreshments and related supplies for University events and activities.
- Identify and report any building maintenance issues encountered during daily tasks.
- Undertake additional duties and special projects as assigned by supervisors to support departmental goals.
Qualifications & Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent qualification is required.
- A minimum of 1 to 3 years of relevant professional experience is necessary.
Skills & Competencies
- Capability to perform effectively under pressure and meet operational demands.
- Flexibility regarding working hours and shift schedules.
- Proficiency in organizational and interpersonal communication.
- Ability to comprehend and follow instructions accurately.
- A strong aptitude for collaborative teamwork.
