Role Summary
We seek a seasoned Operations Leader to spearhead operational leadership and strategic planning to guarantee engine delivery targets and customer satisfaction, while steering cultural transformation. This role is key to driving operational excellence, tracking performance metrics, and leading cross-functional teams to meet business objectives linked to aerospace aftermarket maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO).
Key Responsibilities
- Lead operations to achieve monthly engine deliveries and exceptional client service, implementing cultural change within the organization.
- Own performance metrics: engine delivery, profit margins, cost per hour, on-time delivery, quality costs, productivity, and direct cost initiatives.
- Manage and plan the Operations Team to reach monthly production and delivery goals.
- Support growth projects focusing on maintaining the PW4000 engine fleet's operational status.
- Collaborate with management on strategizing and executing policy deployment aligned to business plans and targets.
- Drive continuous improvement and productivity initiatives (CORE) to enhance workplace efficiency.
- Ensure regulatory compliance in areas including Global Trade, Environmental Health & Safety (EHS), Ethics, and Quality.
- Lead cost-saving projects to improve profitability and sustain business health.
- Promote a high-engagement organizational culture based on respect, empowerment, clear communication, and teamwork.
- Facilitate effective cross-departmental communication to harmonize business objectives and schedules.
- Develop leadership talent and succession frameworks to ensure team stability and leadership continuity.
- Partner closely with the Transformation team to boost organizational efficiency and effectiveness.
- Undertake other strategic or ad-hoc initiatives as directed by senior leadership.
Essential Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related field.
- At least 10 years of extensive experience in aerospace aftermarket MRO operations.
- Comprehensive knowledge across business areas such as EHS, people development, regulatory compliance, quality assurance, operations, technical processes, and finance.
- Strong leadership skills with a focus on motivation, staff development, and decisive decision-making.
- Effective problem-solver utilizing cross-functional collaboration to overcome operational obstacles.
- Advanced strategic and analytical thinking paired with solid implementation skills.
- Able to thrive in fast-paced, matrix-organized environments.
- Excellent communication abilities to engage effectively with stakeholders at all organizational levels.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with commercial engine platforms and engine center operations and workflows.
- Master's degree or MBA preferred.
- Proficiency in data analysis, business intelligence tools such as Power BI, Tableau, and advanced Excel for monitoring and reporting performance.
- Expertise in change management, particularly guiding teams through digital transformation, restructuring, or cultural shifts.
- Knowledge of digital manufacturing and Industry 4.0 technologies including automation, Internet of Things (IoT), and smart factory methodologies.
