Overview
PM Group is seeking an experienced Senior/Lead Design Scheduler for large and intricate design projects based in Dublin. The ideal candidate will bring 8-10 years of expertise in managing complex project schedules throughout the EPCM lifecycle, with a preference for candidates holding a degree in a scientific or engineering discipline.
Role Responsibilities
- Create and oversee detailed schedules addressing the Design and Procurement phases of projects.
- Develop and maintain project control tools and processes.
- Perform critical path method development and analysis.
- Lead and facilitate interactive planning workshops to align project teams.
- Engage early with project teams during design stages to provide support.
- Deliver performance updates and reports highlighting variances and recommending corrective measures.
- Identify and monitor project milestones, providing regular reporting.
- Coordinate with project management through consistent schedule performance updates.
- Determine scheduling resource requirements and communicate necessary tools to ensure timely goal completion.
- Contribute to design review processes with valued input.
- Foster collaborative client relationships to align project objectives and ensure successful delivery according to timelines.
- Execute projects using an established Quality Management System.
Qualifications and Experience
- 8 to 10 years of project scheduling experience covering full project life cycles from design through construction.
- Expert proficiency in Primavera P6 scheduling software.
- Strong understanding of design sequencing and logical flow.
- Experience working within pharmaceutical and data center sectors.
- Familiarity with earned value management techniques to track progress.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
- Degree qualification in Construction, Engineering or a related scientific/engineering field is preferred.
