About the Role

We are collaborating with a private equity-backed food manufacturing company to recruit a Senior Vice President of Manufacturing responsible for overseeing an intricate, multi-site manufacturing operation amid a significant phase of growth and change. Key Responsibilities

• Oversee a network of manufacturing facilities across multiple locations.
• Formulate and implement manufacturing strategies aligned with company goals.
• Promote operational excellence, improve productivity, and foster continuous improvement initiatives.
• Recruit, mentor, and build leadership teams within manufacturing.
• Collaborate closely with Engineering, Supply Chain, Commercial, and Finance departments.
• Support decisions regarding capital investments, network optimization, and growth strategies.
• Encourage a workplace culture emphasizing accountability, safety, and ongoing process enhancements.

Ideal Experience and Expertise

• Proven leadership in multi-site food manufacturing environments.
• Knowledge in sectors such as ingredients, bakery goods, dry ingredients, premixes, flavors, or seasonings.
• Track record of manufacturing transformation and operational excellence programs.
• Proficiency in Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Experience managing capital investment projects and supply chain integration.
• Executive leadership in complex manufacturing settings.

Preferred Background

Current or prior positions such as Senior Vice President Manufacturing, Vice President Manufacturing or Operations, Chief Operations Officer, or Senior Director positions within manufacturing or operations are highly valued. Experience within private equity-backed organizations or leading large-scale operational transformations is a distinct advantage.

Location and Compensation

This role is based in California, with a preference for local candidates. A relocation package will be offered for suitable applicants outside the area. Compensation will be a tailored executive package reflective of the selected candidate’s experience and qualifications.
