Role Overview
The Senior Technical Business Analyst position is intended to act as an integral connection between business stakeholders and AI/ML technology teams, ensuring effective transformation of business challenges into clear technical directives. The role demands collaboration across product management, data science, and engineering teams to deliver AI-enabled products successfully.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage with business leaders to comprehend organizational objectives, challenges, and measure success.
- Convert business requirements into detailed functional, technical, and data-oriented documents.
- Develop Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), Functional Requirement Documents (FRDs), user stories, acceptance criteria, and process workflows.
- Spot AI/ML projects that align with business objectives and potential benefits.
- Partner with Data Scientists and Machine Learning Engineers to articulate problem definitions, inputs, expected outputs, and appropriate evaluation criteria.
- Gain insight into the AI model lifecycle including data collection, training, validation, deployment, and ongoing monitoring.
- Assist in specifying features, labels, datasets, and standards for data quality.
- Help track model performance and manage feedback mechanisms.
- Use tools like SQL, Excel, and BI platforms to analyze data and extract meaningful insights.
- Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and success measures relevant to AI initiatives.
- Contribute to preparing dashboards and reports for various stakeholders.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Proven expertise as a Business Analyst or Technical Business Analyst, preferably in data-driven or AI-focused environments.
- Comprehensive understanding of AI and Machine Learning concepts, including supervised and unsupervised learning, basics of natural language processing and computer vision, and model evaluation metrics.
- Experience documenting complex requirements and excellent ability to communicate with diverse stakeholders.
- Competency with data analysis tools such as SQL and business intelligence software.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology (B.Tech/B.E.) in any discipline.
