About the Role

Downer New Zealand is looking for a motivated and experienced submissions specialist to collaborate closely with key business leaders in securing opportunities for the Infrastructure Delivery sector. Downer leads integrated services in Australia and New Zealand, partnering with customers to design, build, and sustain critical assets, infrastructure, and facilities.

The successful candidate will join a talented submissions team of writers and designers, taking charge of creating persuasive, customer-centric submissions that highlight Downer's expertise and underpin the company's growth ambitions. This role involves liaising with diverse stakeholders to interpret client needs, procurement processes, and evaluation benchmarks, translating these into winning strategies and top-tier tender documents.

Key Duties

• Craft compelling and strategic written content that advances business expansion and successful project acquisition.
• Oversee complex tender processes, ensuring timely completion and adherence to quality standards from initial planning to final delivery.
• Foster effective relationships within the business to influence decision-making and support successful bidding outcomes.
• Maintain exceptional organization and flexibility in a fast-paced setting to deliver high-quality results.

Locations

This position is available in Auckland, Christchurch, Tauranga, or Wellington, with the option to work from any of these sites.

While prior experience in civil construction is advantageous, we welcome candidates with solid writing, communication, and project management expertise combined with a passion for excellence and ongoing improvement.
