Senior Purchase Executive

Job Overview

We are hiring a seasoned Senior Purchase Executive to lead the procurement operations and supervise contractor collaborations in the modular furniture, interior fit-out, kitchen, and wardrobe manufacturing domains based in Mumbai. This full-time role demands a professional with 3 to 6 years of relevant experience who excels in managing supply chains and vendor relations.

Primary Responsibilities

• Conduct purchasing of various materials including hardware, accessories, laminates, plywood, MDF, and other materials pertinent to project execution.
• Coordinate effectively with contractors, factory personnel, and site engineers to ascertain and fulfill material needs.
• Solicit quotations, perform comparative vendor analyses, and negotiate terms to secure optimal pricing and timely deliveries.
• Create and handle purchase orders while maintaining comprehensive procurement documentation.
• Ensure punctual delivery of materials to manufacturing units and project locations.
• Build and nurture strong partnerships with suppliers and contractors.
• Monitor and manage inventory to guarantee adequate stock and replenish supplies as needed.
• Address procurement challenges such as quality issues and shipment delays.
• Collaborate with the accounts department to authenticate invoices and facilitate vendor payments.
• Compile and present management information system (MIS) reports and procurement updates.

Required Expertise

• Prior experience in the modular furniture or interior fit-out sectors involving kitchens and wardrobes.
• Expertise in vendor management and negotiation strategies.
• Familiarity with furniture hardware, boards, laminates, fittings, and other interior materials.
• Competence in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems.
• Strong communication and coordination skills conducive to handling multiple concurrent projects and meeting deadlines.

Educational Credentials

A graduate degree in any discipline is required. Additional qualifications such as a diploma or degree in supply chain management, procurement, or related areas will be advantageous.

Compensation

The monthly salary range offered is between INR 20,000 and INR 30,000.
