Overview
Become an integral part of our team by overseeing grant programs that promote meaningful outcomes across Queensland. The Senior Project Officer role involves managing the complete lifecycle of grant programs—from initiating funding rounds and evaluating applications, to supporting recipients, managing agreements, as well as handling reporting and acquittal processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in administering and delivering all aspects of grant programs.
- Coordinate activities necessary to launch funding rounds promptly.
- Review and assess funding applications thoroughly.
- Prepare and manage grant agreements when applicants are approved.
- Provide ongoing guidance and support to grant recipients during project execution.
- Organize grant reporting, monitoring efforts, and acquittal procedures efficiently.
- Respond to information requests related to grant funding and program operations.
- Participate actively in initiatives aimed at continuous improvement and uphold best practices in grants administration.
- Promote a positive workplace environment rooted in safety, inclusion, respect, diversity, and contribute positively towards First Nations communities.
Candidate Profile
The successful candidate will be proactive, detail-focused, and capable of thriving in dynamic settings while collaborating effectively to meet objectives. Managing multiple priorities and communicating clearly with diverse stakeholders is essential.
Required Skills and Experience
- Proven experience or demonstrated ability to rapidly acquire skills in monitoring, evaluation, reporting, and continuous improvement within grant management contexts.
- Expertise in developing and maintaining tools, processes, and systems that enable efficient reporting and program monitoring.
- Competence in managing project and grant performance data, including collection, verification, and analysis.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for producing clear, professional documentation such as agreements and reports.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship management abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively and manage competing tasks in a fast-changing environment.
- Dedication to upholding safety, equity, diversity, inclusion, and respect in the workplace.
